«The Funambulist» ist ein Print- und Online-Magazin, das sich der «Politik des Raumes und des Körpers» widmet. Alle zwei Monate publiziert es zu einem spezifischen Thema rund um Gestaltung, Städtebau, Architektur, Produktdesign oder Mode kontroverse Beiträge, welche auf historischer geographischer, anthropologischer, soziologischer, aber auch gesellschaftlicher und genderthematischer Ebene diskutiert werden. An der Veranstaltung im Architekturforum Zürich wird der Herausgeber Leopold Lambert kurz die Inhalte der vergangenen und zukünftigen Themen vorstellen sowie die täglichen Herausforderungen der Arbeit an der Zeitschrift erläutern.
Anschliessend diskutieren in einer Roundtable Dorothee Hahn (Redaktorin Trans), Jørg Himmelreich (Chefredaktor, Archithese), Léopold Lambert (Chefredaktor The Funambulist) und Adrien Meuwly (Redaktor Trans). Die in Englisch geführte Diskussion wird geleitet von Samia Henni (ETH Zürich).

«The Funambulist» is a print and online magazine dedicated to «the politics of space and bodies». Every two months, it proposes an articulation of this editorial line around one particular topic that mobilizes a scale of design (urbanism, architecture, objects, or clothing) through approaches as various as historical, geographical, anthropological, sociological, but also antiracist, feminist, queer, indigenous or through other counter-normative narratives. This presentation will briefly introduce the contents of the past and future issues, as well as touch upon the micropolitics involved in the daily making of the magazine.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion with Dorothee Hahn (Editor, Trans), Jørg Himmelreich (Chief Editor, Archithese), Léopold Lambert (Chief Editor, The Funambulist), and Adrien Meuwly (Editor, Trans). The roundtable is moderated by Samia Henni (ETH Zurich).
